Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 May 2026
Timeline is currently in beta. Features may change without notice. Some features are still being developed. Timeline is a shift management and invoicing tool — it is not a substitute for advice from a registered NDIS provider, a registered tax agent, or a qualified accountant.
1. The service
Timeline is a web application that helps independent NDIS disability support workers plan shifts, record shift events, generate NDIS-compliant invoices, track payments, and prepare BAS summaries. It is operated by Billal Khan (ABN: 28 125 756 646), a sole trader registered in New South Wales, Australia.
2. Eligibility
To use Timeline you must: be at least 18 years of age; hold a valid Australian ABN; and be providing, or intending to provide, NDIS disability support services. Timeline is designed for independent support workers and is not intended for use by registered NDIS providers with employees.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete shift records, client information, and billing data
- Comply with the NDIS Practice Standards relevant to your registration category
- Verify all invoices and tax calculations generated by Timeline before submitting them to participants, plan managers, or the NDIS
- Keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately at hello@timelineapp.com.au if you believe your account has been compromised
- Not use Timeline to store or process sensitive health information beyond what is necessary for NDIS compliance
4. Pricing and payments
Timeline is free for workers invoicing under $500 per month. A flat monthly fee applies above that threshold — see the pricing schedule on the homepage for current rates. Fees are charged on the 7th day of each calendar month for the previous month's invoiced amount.
Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise Timeline to charge your nominated payment method each month. You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing — no cancellation fee applies. Fees already charged for completed months are non-refundable.
5. Intellectual property
The Timeline software, design, and documentation are owned by Billal Khan and are protected by Australian intellectual property law. Your data — shift records, client information, invoices — remains yours at all times. We claim no ownership of your data.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation, Timeline is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate at all times.
We are not liable for any loss of income, missed payments, incorrect invoices submitted to participants or the NDIS, compliance failures, or any indirect, special, or consequential damage arising from your use of or reliance on the service. Our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the total fees paid by you to Timeline in the three months immediately prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
7. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that is harmful to other users or to us, with reasonable notice where possible.
8. Changes to these terms
We will notify you by email at least 14 days before making material changes to these terms. Continued use of Timeline after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with a change, you may close your account before the effective date with no further obligation.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
